Virtual Private Network (VPN)

A VPN provides a virtual network connection from your local computer (dekstop or laptop) to a remote network. Typically when working from home this allows you to use your computer as if it is connected to the campus network.

The TU Delft uses the eduVPN software provided by Surf. This software can be used in Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. Other platforms can use the OpenVPN to create a VPN connection to the campus (see more information at the bottom of the eduVPN link).

*** important In Windows preferably the eduVPN package is installed via the Software Center when you are connected to the wired campus network or via wifi to the TUDSTUD network. This version will mount the different storages like home-, group-, bulk- and project-storage once you are connected. If you install the eduVPN software from https://www.surf.nl/en/eduvpn these storages will not be mounted automagically and you will need to use something like WebDrive (also available in the Software Center).

Below you will find the instructions on how to setup the VPN connection to the TU Delft using eduVPN in Windows 10.
